Working for the last 10 years at The Sun News in Myrtle Beach, S.C., I’ve been a photojournalist working in the southeastern United States for more than 25 years.
I’ve been honored with numerous awards including two Photographer of the Year awards (2001, 2003) with the South Carolina News Photographers Association and one POY (1984) while a member of the North Carolina Press Photographers Association. I’ve also been recognized by the National Press Photographers Association in it’s yearly Best of Photojournalism contest, The Southern Short Course in News Photography and The Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.
Awards are nice but the real reason I’m a photojournalist is a passion to show honest emotions of the everyday experience.
The name “Zero Comments” came to mind because so many blogs exist without many comments back to the author. I’m prepared for the reality I may be the only person looking.
Anyway, it helps to vent and share, so here I go.
